|The most expedient way to have a policy
reissued is to request it online at www.lgamerica.com. This online service is provided for
general agents only. When a general agent accesses any of the screens in the New
Business section, there will be a Reissue Request link at the bottom of the left
column. Clicking that link will open a window asking for the number of the policy to
be reissued. Enter the desired policy number and click "OK".
Once the Reissue Request form has loaded, enter your name and email address in the Requestor fields at the top of the page. The desired policy changes can be made by entering the necessary data in the appropriate fields. As needed, pop-up windows will prompt you to enter additional information. For example, if you select Specific Policy Date from the drop-down list in the Policy Effective Date area, a window will pop up asking your for the specific date. The Comments field at the end of the page can be used for any special instructions.
Reissue requests that do not require approval from the Underwriting department are processed within 1 business day. If a request requires Underwriting approval and Underwriting does not require any additional information, it would be processed within two business days. Requests that require Underwriting approval include:
To keep track of policy reissues, an additional New Business category has been added for reissues. The Reissues page makes it easy for you to check the status of your request. The page separates the policy reissues according to the current phase of the reissue process:
|Printing a page containing
frames is handled differently by different browsers and different operating systems.
In most cases you will want to print only the "main" frame of the page, which is
the one you are reading currently. Below are the instructions for doing this in
Microsoft's Internet Explorer Version 4.
Choosing "Print" from the "File" menu in Microsoft's Internet Explorer Version 4 with Windows95 or WindowsNT opens a window which allows 3 print options: print the screen as laid out, print only the selected frame, or print all frames individually. Click the desired print option and then click "OK". A faster alternative to print a single frame is to click the "Print" button which will automatically print only the selected frame.
Clicking anywhere in the frame that you want to print will select that frame. If you are using Version 4 of Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator, when you enter a page on our web site, the "main" frame will already be selected. So you may click "Print" immediately if you want to print the "main" frame.
|To run Illustration Manager, click the appropriate product
on the "Run Illustration" screen. You may then enter the appropriate
information for the illustration. Once you have completed entering the information,
you may click "Quick Print" or "Formal Print" button. The
"Quick Print" option will only display the illustration detail. The
"Formal Print" option will display the illustration detail, summary, and
explanation and will also archive the illustration for future reference.
Illustrations will remain archived for ten days.
To view a "Formal Print", Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 (or newer) must be installed on your PC. Click the button below to download this software at no cost.
The instructions to download the latest version of Illustration Manager software are included in the "Download Software" page.
|If there is a password on file,
when you enter the "Preferences" page, there will be eight asterisks in both the
"Password" and "Confirm Password" boxes. If you do not wish to
change your password, simply leave the asterisks in the boxes. If you would like to
create or change a password, type the new password in both the "Password"
and "Confirm Password" boxes. Your password may be up to eight characters
long and may contain letters and/or numbers.
If you have an e-mail address, please type your e-mail address in the "E-Mail" box. There will only be one Preferences file kept per agency/agent number. In turn, there will only be one password and one e-mail address kept on file per agency/agent number.
